BTS’s Jungkook’s influence knows no bounds as everything he touches sells out

BTS fans have spotted that member Jungkook appears to have the Midas touch when it comes to selling out products he is spotted with, without even promoting the brands.

The singer, 23, most recently helped tea brand Teazen Co. increase its sales five-fold after he was spotted drinking one of their kombucha products during a live stream, according to Korea Economic Daily.

So powerful is the K-pop star’s influence that the brand attracted multiple buyers after its popularity soared after Jungkook was seen drinking one of their products, and were ‘flooded with export enquiries’ according to a spokesperson.

Teazen also reportedly paid it forward by donating 50million won (£32,000) to Giving Plus, the Milal Welfare Foundation, to help those who have been affected by employment issues amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s not the first time a brand has seen sales go through the roof after their products were associated with Jungkook, with the BTS member having serious form for selling out clothing he is seen in and other items.

In February, Jungkook shared a selfie of him in an outfit from the clothing brand FeelEnuff, who posted about it on their story but soon followed up that the knitted vest he had been wearing had already sold out.

Korean media also reported that an outfit Jungkook wore from clothing brand Lamodechief had sold out multiple restocks after he was pictured in it, with the brand giving back by donating to a welfare centre from the profits of their increased sales.

Other instances where items worn by Jungkook have flown off the shelves include the £2000 Prada jacket he wore in BTS’s Vogue cover, which reportedly sold out in 25 countries, as well as a whale tail shaped necklace and onyx bracelet from the brand Delixir which uses the profits to help abandoned animals.

A Trunk Project T-shirt with a rip at the neckline also reportedly sold out in less than 12 hours after Jungkook wore it in a Run BTS! episode, a Kate CC lip cream which a make-up artist was seen applying to his lips ahead of a shoot also flew off shelves, as well as everything from shoes to washing powder that he’s been spotted with.

It’s no wonder they call him the Sold Out King.
