BTS made history with their Grammy Awards nomination, but the band did not manage to walk away with the coveted award on the night.
The K-pop stars were the first to be nominated for a major category at the Grammys, having been up for best pop duo/group performance for their song Dynamite.
The eventual winners of that particular award were Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for their collab on Rain On Me.
Despite their fans’ disappointment, the band didn’t let the defeat at the 63rd Grammys get them down.
Jimin posted a selfie, telling fans: ‘Everyone has a hard time staying with us until this time! Thank you for supporting me Thanks to this, I have experienced such a ridiculous experience. Thank you very much and I am happy, ARMY! Love it.’
While they may not have a Grammy to add to the list of awards and achievements the band have racked up, they did perform on the night.
BTS were among the last performers of the evening, playing their smash hit track Dynamite for the fans at home.
Many were of course sad that their favourite band hadn’t got the accolade this time around but were convinced it was only a matter of time until the boys got the honours fans think they deserved.
