Tallulah Willis, Bruce Willis’ daughter, told out about her father’s home life after his dementia diagnosis.
According to his family’s revelation earlier this year, the Die Hard star, 68, is suffering from frontotemporal dementia and would be’stepping aside’ from his illustrious career.
In an update to fans on his condition, his youngest daughter, 29, with his ex-wife Demi Moore, said that he could still know her when she visited.
The actress spoke out to Vogue magazine, sharing details about her father’s illness as it worsened.
She revealed: ‘These days, my dad can be reliably found on the first floor of the house, somewhere in the big open plan of the kitchen-dining-living room, or in his office. Thankfully, dementia has not affected his mobility.
‘That office has always been a kind of window into what he’s most interested in at any given moment.
‘Recently I found a scrap of paper there on which he had written, simply, “Michael Jordan.” I wish I knew what he was thinking.’
She further stated that the star’s room was usually playing music and was stocked with everything he had accumulated over the years.
At the time of his diagnosis in February, Bruce’s eldest daughter Rumer, 35, issued an update on her father’s health to Instagram, saying his condition had ‘progressed’.
Rumer wrote: ‘Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.
‘In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.
‘Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).
‘Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.’
Bruce appeared in successful films such as the Die Hard trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Armageddon, Moonrise Kingdom, 12 Monkeys, and Looper before his health deteriorated.
He has five children, his three eldest – Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah – with Demi, whom he married in 1987, and his two youngest, Mabel and Evelyn, with his current wife Emma Heming.
