Britney Spears and Sam Asghari get married in Los Angeles after six years of dating

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have married in a ceremony in Los Angeles after getting engaged in September 2021.

The couple, who have been dating since 2016 after meeting on the set of Britney’s music video, have finally become husband and wife.

The singer is said to have worn a gown by designed by Versace, walking down the aisle to exchange her vows to the tune of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love.

However, the day didn’t go by without a hiccup, as Britney’s first ex-husband Jason Alexander attempted to crash the nuptials while livestreaming.

Sam’s manager, Brandon Cohen, released a statement after the ceremony, saying: ‘I am very ecstatic this day has come, and they are married. I know he wanted this for so long.’

He continued to People: ‘He is so caring and supportive every step of the way.

‘I am so grateful to have Sam in my life and can’t wait for the future they will build together.’

Multiple sources confirmed to the publication that the couple had said ‘I do’ to one another in front of around 60 guests, which included the likes of Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton and Madonna.

It was rumoured that the only member of Britney’s family invited to the wedding was her brother Bryan, according to TMZ, with her father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears and sister Jamie-Lynn Spears being left off the invite list.

The singer has been embroiled in a public feud with her parents and sister following her conservatorship being removed in November after she called them out for how they treated her while she was under the rule.

Britney’s sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, who she shares with ex Kevin Federline, are also said to have skipped the wedding but wished their mother the best for the big day.

On the day of the wedding, the Toxic singer’s ex-husband, Jason, was livestreaming when he trespassed on the property, it was reported.

It’s been reported that he made it into Britney’s home, continuing to livestream before being restrained outside of the house.

Jason and Britney famously got married in a spontaneous ceremony in Las Vegas in 2004, with their wedding later being annulled just 55 hours later.

Britney and Sam have been open about their plans to expand their family, announcing their pregnancy in April but revealed last month that they had tragically suffered a miscarriage.
