Bridgerton star Simone Ashley appears to have found herself a suitor in real life – sorry, Anthony Bridgerton – after hinting at a new romance.
The British actress, who plays Kate Sharma in the Netflix romantic period drama, has jetted off to even chillier climes for a winter holiday in the mountains.
In a set of Instagram photos, Simone, 27, is seen looking every inch the supermodel as she poses against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains while staring into the distance with the wind blowing through her hair.
‘Bond girl?’ her hairdresser wrote in the comments while many of Simone’s followers agreed.
Other images show Simone kissing her adorable dog but others show a mystery man, casually trudging through the snow and standing beside a stream of fairy lights after sunset donning a cosy knitted jumper.
Simone didn’t tag the gentleman so his identity remains a mystery, but she did hint at the nature of their relationship in the caption, writing: ‘My pooch and snowman in the mountains x.’
While Simone seems to have found love off-screen, on-screen she’s very much coupled up with Viscount Anthony, after keeping viewers on their toes with their will they, won’t they story arc in season two of the popular Regency-era series.
In the second instalment of the sizzling Netflix period drama, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) decided to make Kate’s younger sister Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) his bride after she was named the Diamond of the social season by Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel).
Despite forging an obvious and passionate connection with Kate, Anthony almost tied the knot with Edwina but their wedding was only brought to a halt when the bride realised the feelings shared between her sister and her fiancé.
In the end, Kate and Anthony eventually married with Edwina’s blessing, with the final scenes of the show showing them kissing in full view of the Bridgerton family.
The upcoming season three will instead focus on another Bridgerton sibling, but it has been confirmed that Kate and Anthony will still feature much to the relief of viewers who are burning to see the next chapter of their love story.
