Keith Duffy, a member of Boyzone, spoke up about his daughter Mia’s “stress and worry” when her Instagram account was hijacked by cyber hackers.
The 48-year-old musician published an image of a social media profile imitating his kid, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 18 months.
He disclosed that the crooks were posing as Mia, 23, and texting her followers from the bogus account.
Along with the screenshot, the celebrity sent an emotional statement in big letters that read: ‘Urgent!! Anyone who got a message from my daughter Mia’s account should be informed that her account has been hacked and fraudsters are sending messages posing as her.
‘Please report and ignore all messages. Mia is very private and this has really upset her and caused a lot of stress and anxiety [sic].’
Fans expressed their support for the No Matter What singer in the comments section beneath his photo, promising to denounce the abuse of information.

One wrote: ‘Sorry to hear Mia is going through this. Really hope she gets her account back. Much love to you all.’
Another said: ‘Awww poor Mia! I hope she is okay lovely! I get them all the time pretending to be you! Why they think I think it would ever be you bemuses me! [sic].’
‘Thanks for warning! Hope Mia feels better soon [sic],’ a separate social media account left underneath the post.
Keith has a daughter, Mia, with his wife Lisa, whom he married in Las Vegas in 1998, and the couple also has a son, Jay, 26.
The star’s request came after he expressed his joy at his daughter’s graduation from Dublin City University with honours.
He penned a sweet note to Mia in an Instagram post, accompanied with a triumphant snapshot of the two on her big day.
Keith said: ‘To all who have followed our story for over 20 years Today marks the biggest milestone ever. Mia Graduating from Dublin City University with honours.
‘A day we where made to believe would never happen. We are blessed for all your support and that Mia was given every opportunity to reach her full potential only by never taking ‘No’ for an answer from anyone along the way.
‘We are the proudest parents in the world. Mia herself has always pushed herself and worked hard to achieve her own Goals and continues to do so.
‘Please take the positive from this and See believe and achieve ! Yes you can yes we can [sic].’
