Sir Billy Connolly has shared an X-rated confession about his sex life with wife Pamela Stephenson while recording a new audiobook.
Pamela, 71, shared a funny clip of Sir Billy, 78, in the booth reading from his autobiography, Windswept & Interesting, in which he revealed how being a comedian affected his sex life.
In the clip, which Pamela captioned ‘Billy’s talking about me again,’ Billy reads: ‘My wife’s a sexologist – a rather limiting subject I think. How can you study something that only lasts seven seconds?
‘I’ve always had a problem with sex. Not the sex itself so much, more the beginning bit. I was never any good at chatting women up.’
He explained: ‘I don’t know if I was lousy at it and saying the wrong things, or being too funny or silly. But I could just never read the signs. I didn’t know when it was working.
‘When a woman was on my case I didn’t see it. I couldn’t get the message. My friends used to tell me: “She’s mad for you.” “Who?” “The one over there.” “What one?”
‘Being a funny guy always got in my way. Women would laugh and laugh all night.’
Sir Billy’s audiobook will be released on October 14 on Audible, and fans were loving seeing the comedian, who has Parkinson’s, looking so well while reading it.
They tweeted: ‘Still the funniest man I have seen live. Was a privilege to see him in the Empire all these years in the past and good to see he’s nonetheless combating the nice struggle towards PD.’
