Katie Price is facing bankruptcy as a result of her previous marriages costing her money.
The 45-year-old former glamour model has been married three times and engaged to several other men, including her current on-again, off-again boyfriend Carl Woods.
She previously married Peter Andre, with whom she has two children, Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, and Kieran Hayler, with whom she has two children, Jett, 10, and Bunny, nine.
Katie also married Alex Reid, who she married from 2010 until 2012.
On Jamie Laing‘s Private Parts podcast, the actress discussed her previous romances and money problems, making no secret of her feelings about her marriages.
Asked how much money she’s made throughout her career, she answered candidly: ‘F*** knows.’
She said she had previously made The Times’ Rich List but had no idea how they found out how much money she had.
And the star, who is now bankrupt, added: ‘Being married costs you a lot of money.’
Katie recently revealed that her first husband Peter is still in her will more than a decade after their divorce, and that she would have to remember to change it – just days after announcing that she was trying to sell the £20,000 wedding gown she wore to their nuptials, despite it being ‘covered in rat droppings.’
The mother-of-five, who also has a 20-year-old son named Harvey, is leaving the family home, called the Mucky Mansion, ahead of a court appearance to answer inquiries about her money.
She stated that the property is ‘simply too huge for me,’ and that she is thinking about renting it out.
The reality star’s financial problems began in November 2019, when she was declared bankrupt and owed £3.2 million.
She is scheduled to testify about her finances on September 14, after earlier apologising during a bankruptcy court in 2020 for not being able ‘to cope with these concerns or in the correct mental condition to grasp everything that has been going on.’
She escaped incarceration for the second time in February of last year after striking a ‘last-minute arrangement’ to repay what she owed.
She has now revealed on Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers podcast that bankruptcy is a ‘pretty positive thing’ for her because she is no longer ‘in the fast lane.’
‘I’m … threatened with court letters. I’ve been to court more times than I’ve had hot dinners lately. I am not scared of court anymore. I have said, “Can’t you put me [in] prison just to cover it all? Just be done with it”.’
‘I genuinely don’t care if I go to prison, because it’s done then,’ she declared.
