Natasha Hamilton has given birth to a baby girl, and while we may be (cough) biassed, we think her name is really great.
It could even be the finest name we’ve ever heard. Because, unlike most Kittys in the world (not me! ), Natasha’s tot is a full-fledged, no-apologies Kitty. And we enjoy it.
The actress shared the joyous news that she had given birth to her fifth child with a sweet photo of her husband Charles Gay, 37, bringing little baby Kitty out of the hospital.
Commenting on the snap, the Whole Again hitmaker, 41, said: ‘I cannot put in to words how we feel right now. Our family is complete🙏🏼.
‘Kitty Iris Gay – 14/08/23 💝
‘We couldn’t be any happier. Welcome to the world baby girl.’
As a Kitty with a good friend called Iris, Metro absolutely approves. Well done Natasha on your fine work.
Natasha also has Josh, 20, Harry, 18, Alfie, 13, and Ella, 8, from previous relationships, but this will be her first child with the fashion business director.
Natasha previously disclosed the name before giving birth to Kitty, explaining that it originates from their grandparents, not the band.
The singer revealed the name in an interview with OK! Magazine. ‘We’re going to call her Kitty Iris Gay,’ she said.
‘Kitty has nothing to do with the band!’, she explained. ‘My grandmother was Kitty and Charles’s grandmother was Iris and we just loved those names together.
‘They’re quite old-fashioned but there’s also a newness to them – they’re unusual and so cute.’
It’s unusual, but welcome, Kitty. You are a member of a renowned team.
Natasha admitted to Kitty that the couple is ‘done’ having children.
‘I love having a big family, but five is a big number and we want to have time to do all the nice things we love doing. So yes, Kitty is definitely going to be the last!’ she told the publication.
Natasha and Charles began dating in 2016 and plan to marry in 2021 in Lake Como, Italy.
