Amy Schumer ‘finally’ feels good after undergoing various surgical procedures over the last year as she battled with her endometriosis.
The I Feel Pretty actress reflected on the ‘journey’ she’s been on after having both her appendix and uterus removed due to endometriosis – a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places – as well as undergoing liposuction treatment.
Celebrating getting her strength back with a few fabulous photos on the beach, the star said that she had initially ‘never thought I would do anything’.
Sharing two snaps of herself smiling in a black swimsuit and oversized sunglasses, Amy tagged gynecologist Dr Tamer Seckin, cosmetic surgeon Dr Jordan Terner, and acupuncturist Vickie Lee.
The comic wrote: ‘I feel good. Finally. It’s been a journey thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd (endo) @jordanternermd (lipo) never thought I would do anything but talk to me after your uterus doesn’t contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40.
She added: ‘@paulvincent22 Vickie Lee (acupuncture) my girl Nicole from the tox my friends and fam. Let’s go!’
Amy also revealed that she was happy with her weight since having surgery, sharing it on her Instagram Story.
The 40-year-old star, who shares two-year-old son Gene with husband Chris Fischer, was congratulated by a number of her famous friends on her positive state of mind.

Last month, the Trainwreck star revealed she had had cheek fillers but was getting them dissolved.
‘I tried getting fillers,’ she admitted on social media, before joking: ‘Turns out I was already full. Thank God you can dissolve them I looked like #malificent thanks @drjlodnp.’
Raising awareness for endometriosis, the actress updated fans from her hospital bed in September, after undergoing surgery for the condition.
Opening up in a video, she explained: ‘It’s the morning after my surgery for endometriosis and my uterus is out.
‘The doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis and he removed my apprendix because the endometriosis had attacked it. There was a lot of blood in my uterus and I’m sore and I have some gas pains but, other than that, I already feel that my energy…’
The star added in her caption: ‘If you have really painful periods you may have #endometriosis.’
Her honesty over cosmetic procedures was also displayed in April, when Amy revealed she was undergoing a coolsculpting treatment to get rid of her ‘double chin’.
Poking fun in a video at the time, while actually undergoing the treatment, she joked: ‘I just want to say that I’m blessed with the way I look and I’m not gonna be one of those people that gets stuff done. And no offense to the women that do.
‘This is not what you think. It’s not … this is just how I like to rest my head because it feels good. This is the only way I can really relax. It’s not that I’m getting my double chin addressed in a way. So don’t worry about it.’
