Amanda Holden had a great time over the weekend channelling her inner Hollywood star.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who is never one to pass up a spectacular costume or an occasion to dress up, went all out for a’special’ birthday celebration.

Amanda, 52, debuted her full outfit on Instagram on Saturday night before heading to a costume party.

She was costumed like Marilyn Monroe in her iconic white halter-neck silk gown from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch.

In addition, the TV personality wore a precisely coiffed platinum blonde wig in the suitable style, as well as red lipstick, gorgeous eye make-up, and a fake beauty mark to match her inspiration’s.

The moment in which Monroe’s character went over a subway grate and experienced a “wonderful wind” from below, which blew up her skirt, became iconic for the film and her famed dress.

Writing in the caption alongside her pose mimicking the moment, with her hands at her knees and the skirt billowing, Amanda wrote: ‘#marilynmonroe for a special birthday party ❤️’

Mum-of-two Amanda also posted a TikTok video of herself dancing around her outdoor patio to Monroe’s renowned performance of the song I Wanna Be Loved by You.

It also revealed the key to her costume, as the Heart presenter was spotted larking around on similar white stilettos as wires in her dress kept it up to appear to be always blowing in the breeze.

Amanda also thanked her hair and makeup crew for the occasion, sharing a close-up of her dazzling appearance ahead of the party on Instagram stories.

Another shot showed her holding a drink next to a gigantic Kermit the Frog dressed in a smart black tie, which we believe is her husband, Chris Hughes.

Chris was recently rumoured to be leaving big talent agency YMU, which has represented a diverse spectrum of celebrities, including Phillip Schofield, who was pulled from their books after 35 years following his revelation on This Morning that he had lied about his romance with a younger male colleague.

Amanda, Simon Cowell, 63, and Davina McCall, 55, are among the stars on its list, while its music division represents Paris Hilton, 42.

Chris, who has two children with Amanda, Lexi, 17, and Hollie, 11, quit as director at YMU on April 18, according to the Daily Mail.

Following a drop in profitability exacerbated by the epidemic, the corporation is rumoured to be considering a financial reorganisation.

According to Sky News, external consultants will conduct an impartial business evaluation of the organisation.
