After a claimed psychotic episode, Amanda Bynes’ family is not stated to be considering placing her under another conservatorship.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Easy A actress was supposedly found naked and wandering the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
According to accounts, the 38-year-old waved down a motorist and claimed to be experiencing a mental episode.
She is said to have dialled 911 and been escorted to a neighbouring police station, where she was placed on a psychiatric hold, according to TMZ.
Sources have subsequently told the site that her parents, Lynn and Rick, are worried about her safety as a result of the event.
They have apparently ruled out placing her under another conservatorship, despite the fact that she was released from the court order by a judge a year ago.
According to the source, they have also ‘taken comfort’ in Amanda realising she was in peril and took efforts to obtain help.
According to reports, the Nickelodeon star is being treated at a hospital and will be there for many days.
She was placed under conservatorship for the first time a decade ago, after a series of mental health and substance misuse concerns.
After nine years, the Amanda Show star was released from the court injunction in March 2022.
Judge Roger L Lund said at the time: ‘She’s done everything the court has asked over a long period of time.’
After the news, she thanked those who had offered their ‘love and well wishes’.
‘I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years,’ she said.
‘In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter.’
Amanda made headlines this weekend when she cancelled her performance at 90s Con alongside Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
When asked about her absence, Kel told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I’ve just been praying for her.
‘It’s awesome to see she’s doing better. Which is great.
‘We’re just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it’s answered prayers that she’s doing a lot better.’
