Aaron Carter confirmed that he has split with fiancée Melanie Martin, just days after welcoming their first child together.
The 33-year-old introduced son Prince to the world last week, while heaping praise on the new mom and sharing how much he ‘loved her’.
However, their romance has now crumbled, with Nick Carter’s younger brother sharing the news on Twitter.
‘Due to personal reason Melanie Martin and I have decided to go our separate ways,’ he penned earlier today.
‘There has been a very big lie and my sister communicating w my ex fiancé ruined everything considering she knew what angel tried to do to me in court thanks angel you ruined my family. God bless.’
In the series of tweets, the new dad also hit out at his family, and claimed that the mother of his child had been ‘lying’ to him for years.
‘I have the most conniving deceiving family and Melanie has been lying to me the whole time communicating with my twin sister and the family members who tried to put me in prison and who tried to get a conservatorship on me in court,’ he continued.
‘I’m in shocked this is horrible.’
In further tweets, he alleged that Melanie is leaving California for Las Vegas, and will be taking their son with her.
Melanie appears to have taken her Instagram page down during the drama, while Angel has yet to address her sibling’s claims on her own page, which is currently still up.
The on-off couple announced their engagement last year, after briefly splitting, and confirmed their baby news shortly after.
The singer announced the arrival of Prince Lyric last Monday, and shared the first glimpse at the tot on his Instagram page.
Detailing Melanie’s excruciating labour, which lasted more than half a day, he penned: ‘Emergency C Section after 13 hours of labor but my fiancé is in great health thank you lord and the incredibly sweet loving staff here.
‘Prince is precious I love you son. Your mommy loves you as I drop tears on the phone.
‘This is me cutting his umbilical cord my precious family #TheCarters @missmelaniemartin
‘I’m so proud of you hunny you did it I Love you with all my heart my beautiful blessings from God.’
