Tammy Slaton has received a lot of love from her admirers after showing off her weight reduction on Instagram.
After a harrowing health crisis, the 1000Lb Sisters actress has given fans a front-row seat to her efforts in the current season of the TLC show.
Her efforts were not in vain, as she was able to reduce her weight from 717 to 534 pounds, qualifying her for surgery.
Going to Instagram, the 36-year-old revealed her metamorphosis with followers by posting a series of photos from a recent sunny day out.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the photos and crowded the comments section with encouraging sentiments.
‘I think I speak for everyone when I say WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU,’ an Instagram user replied.
‘Gotta admit Tammy, you proved a whole lot of us wrong. Way to go & keep it up [sic],’ another agreed.
‘Tammy you are doing an AWESOME job! So much to congratulate you on. Surgery, Weight loss, and marriage,’ one penned.
A fan cheered: ‘Omg Tammy you look amazing! And no more trach! I have cried on every episode this season! You freakin did it girl! I am so proud of you! [sic].’
‘We are pulling for you Tammy!’ said one responder. You are deserving of a nice life. Never listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.’
Tammy raised eyebrows last year when she was taken to the hospital in the season three finale of 1000Lb Sisters, shortly after arriving at a weight loss clinic.
Doctors encouraged her family to prepare for the worst, saying that her body was ‘shutting down’.
She later awoke and returned to the recovery clinic, intending to make major lifestyle changes.
In a recent episode, the TLC actress grew upset when she learned her hard work had paid off, as she had dropped nearly 200 pounds.
‘I did that! I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited – just all the emotions,’ she told the cameras.
‘I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got my told-you-so moment!’
Discussing her health with People Magazine, Tammy insisted that she had learned a lot from her hospital stay.
‘My near-death experience has taught me not to take life for granted,’ she said. ‘I now live my life how I want to and not how others want me to.
‘It has also mellowed me out. I try harder to not get mad as easily and try to figure out a way around the situation.
‘I’m grabbing the bull by the horns and taking control of my life again and not letting my body defeat me.’
‘I told y’all that this wasn’t the end of me,’ she added. ‘The new and improved Tammy is on the way.’
